Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the quality of terra alba wallpaper according to coating thickness in order to investigate the manufacturing conditions of terra alba wallpaper. The coating thicknesses of the wallpaper 90 g/m2 and 100 g/m2 were 29-65 μm, and 22-49 μm. respectively. There was difference of coating thickness according to the types of base wallpaper, but no difference were found in the coating amount per m2. The brightness of the terra alba wallpaper was influenced by the color of the terra alba and the gloss was low. The strength properties of terra alba wallpaper were not significantly changed by the coating thickness, but the thickness was 30-50 μm and the coating amount was slightly higher at 50-60 g/m2. The wet tensile strength was very high. 90.0 and 100.0 g/m2 wallpaper can be used for the production of terra alba wall paper. Optimum conditions for the production of terra alba wallpaper are coating thickness 30-45 μm and coating amount 35-50 g/m2.
